About me

Hello, my name is Efraim Munthe. I am a student and tech enthusiast from Indonesia currently learning web development. I have 5 years of experience using various web technologies to craft beautiful clean and maintainable websites.

When it comes to tools, I am flexible to learning whatever is needed to get the job done. Throughout my career so far in the web development space, I have made various things with several technologies, including:

In my development, i use Neovim on Ubuntu (used to be WSL2 on Windows 11) for both work and play. You can check out my Neovim configuration on Github.

When I’m not coding or learning math to catch up on my uni studies, I like to listen to music, reading about tech, contributing to the Indonesian Wikipedia and write articles about Formula One, playing guitar, or playing chess.

Where did you learn to code?

I first got into software development when I was in 9th grade. At the time I was looking at Python tutorial videos on YouTube, and out of curiosity I clicked one of them and learned Python. I remember when I first installed Python and Pycharm, then printing hello world to the console. I was so happy that I can program a computer to do something. From there, my curiosity peaked. I looked into web development, learned HTML CSS and JS, and now here we are.

What do you want to do if money wasn’t a concern?

I would probably devote 100% of my time into software development. That means getting into stuff I have been putting off, learning low level stuff like

Or even just trying out every single programming language out there me. Software is just that much fun and interesting, there’s something out there for each one of us.

I would also get into teaching people how to do stuff. Post tutorials, write blog posts, or whatever else I can do to guide people and pass on knowledge I have accumulated the past few years. By teaching others, we also teach ourselves.
